Vessel is a collective studio, arts and events space on the island of Aegina in the Saronic Gulf.

Vessel provides working space for a range of artistic practices, including visual arts, printmaking, filmmaking, restoration, and curation.

Vessel members run workshops for students, artists, and the public, and undertake public projects individually and collectively, with a core interest in ecology, resilience, and co-education in the context of the Greek islands and the wider Mediterranean.

Vessel exists to develop, learn, and share new creative practices in the face of uncertain futures.

Navine G Dossos is a painter. She has exhibited in Europe and the USA, and she has been commissioned by the Athens Biennale, the Istanbul Design Triennale, and EVA. Her work can be found at navinegdossos.com.

James Bridle is a writer and artist. Their work explores ecology, technology, and politics, and can be found at jamesbridle.com.

Nektarios Pappas is a visual artist with a background in sociology, who is currently commencing a PhD in the soundscapes of carceral spaces. He has exhibited extensively in Greece and most recently presented work at the Athens Biennial AB7, 2021.

Stefanos Levidis is a researcher and visual practitioner focusing on the entanglement of state violence with the natural environment. He is a project coordinator at Forensic Architecture, where he oversees the agency's work on borders and migration.

Sofia Georgovassili is an award-winning filmmaker and actress. Stories of the human condition and coming- of-age are at the heart of her work. Her short film Memoir of a Veering Storm premiered at the Berlinale IFF, February 2022.

Alisa Vincentelli is a Paintings Conservator who trained at the Courtauld Institute London, and advises on preventive conservation internationally. She has worked for Tate Galleries, the Arts Council Collection and EMST, the National Museum of Contempory Art in Athens.

Alessandro Vincentelli is a curator, writer and producer. He is former Curator of Exhibitions & Research at BALTIC Centre for Contemporary Art, Gateshead, curoator of the 2021 edition of an ecological art triennial, EKO8 in Maribor, Slovenia, and an advisor for D6:EU, International, Cyprus.

Karina Benessaiah is a human-environment geographer, sustainability researcher and inter-and transdisciplinary scholar. She is the founder of the transmedia film cooperative cinergies.coop, whose aim is to support and promote sustainable and just transitions.

Jesse Sayles is a geographer and sustainability scientist with two decades of academic and government research experience on topics related to water quality management, waste removal, watershed and coastal governance, human well-being indicators, and environmental stewardship. Myrto Apostolidou is a visual artist working with video and photography. She has been working for Film, Theatre and Dance Productions since she graduated from university in 1997. Her website is myrtoapostolidou.com.

Vardis Marinakis is a film director. He has directed commercials, Golden Lion-winning branded entertainment films, and two feature films, “BlackField” (2009) and “Zizotek” (2019).
