Panicles Residency 2025

For the inaugural Panicles Residency, in collaboration with the 15th Aegina Fistiki Festival, Vessel hosts three artists associated with the Athens School of Fine Art. We encourage these young artists to connect with local creative practitioners, explore the use of natural materials on the island, and deepen their understanding of the Argo-Saronic Gulf as a bioregion.

This year we host Dioni Arida, Anastasis Ioannou, and Ellie Roussos. With a mixed background in physics, architecture and visual art, this trio will look at the social, spatial and physical arrangement of islands. For the duration of their stay, they will focus on the idea of dependency, to a mainland or source, by creating a physical division in the studio space that alters the free exchange of ideas and materials between them.

The resulting work and documented processes of this residency period will be presented during the Fistiki Festival.
