Seagrass Paper

Working with local artist Paul Walker (https://www.paulwalker.gr/) we explored how seagrass could be used to create handmade paper. Shredded seagrass was added to paper pulp to create a mixture suspended in wheat paste. We tried various mixes of seagrass to paper ratios to see which would be the strongest and what colours would come out in the dried forms.

We used this paper to make leaflet holders for the exhibition Be Water, My Friend and Paul also used the paper to create a new Mandala work called Poseidon that he showed in a recent exhibition on Aegina.
