Vessel is a collective studio, arts and event space on the island of Aegina, Greece.

Studio

Vessel provides working space for a range of artistic practices, including visual arts, printmaking, film-making, restoration, and curation.

Workshops

Vessel members run workshops for students, artists, and the public.

Recent workshops include design and printmaking (in collaboration with the National Museum of Contemporary Art, Athens), creative urban planning (at the School of Fine Arts, Athens) and DIY solar technologies (in collaboration with Onassis AiR).

Projects

Vessel members work collectively on outside projects.

Recent projects include SUPER KIOSK, a teahouse built from reclaimed wood, alongside local architecture students, for the 8th Thessaloniki Biennale.

Research

Vessel is dedicated to exploring traditional crafts and new technologies with a focus on ecological regeneration, sustainable practice, and more-than-human relations in the context of the Aegean and the broader Mediterranean region.

We build connections with other studios, collectives, and institutions in order to create new networks and opportunities for knowledge sharing and capacity building.

Residency

Vessel brings artists and other practitioners to Aegina to work in and with the studio, and explore their connections to the place and our research.
